Major General F. Barry Green

F. Barry Green enlisted in the Indiana Army National Guard in March 1957. He attended the Indiana Military Academy Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in September 1967. MG Green served in command and staff positions in Battery, Battalion, Major Command, Division Headquarters and the Military Department of Indiana. He has more than 10 years of command experience. In March 1998 Green retired as a Colonel after 41 years of service to America. MG Green has earned and wears more than 31 awards and decorations. MG Green entered the Indiana Guard Reserve in March 1998 as the Chief of Staff. He was promoted to Brigadier General in August 2000 and was assigned as Deputy Commander and Commander of Task Force North.
MG F. Barry Green was appointed Commanding General of the Indiana Guard Reserve and promoted to MG by Adjutant General, MG R. Martin Umbarger during Annual Training 2005 at Camp Atterbury. |
