1st Brigade

TRAINED AND READY - The First Brigade of the Indiana Guard Reserve (IGR) is prepared to assume missions assigned by the IGR Headquarters, whether they be assisting Civil authorities in a local emergency or assuming control of an armory whose Indiana Army National Guard unit has been activated. The 1st Brigade with Headquarters in Fort Wayne, Indiana is commanded by MAJ James R. Needler.

All males and females, 18-70 years of age and in good health, with no record of felony convictions, are encouraged to contact a member of the 1st Brigade for enlistment or commissioning. We are looking for patriotic Americans who want to provide volunteer service in a military organization of the State of Indiana. "WE ARE HOOSIERS SERVING HOOSIERS."

The IGR is an all volunteer organization composed of persons with prior and non-prior military service who wish to support the military by service to the State of Indiana and their community.
